Participating in the Noonan Project which looked at building resiliency against bullying in children with disabilities was an enlightening and rewarding experience. The participants all shared their stories and strategies with each other. All have developed resiliency and surprisingly solid senses of self-esteem. If you have the opportunity to participant in one of these projects, go for it. It was enriching experience working with the students and research team.
